For run the report from the page you have to use REPORT.RUNMODAL Function. Syntax:Report.RUNMODAL(ReportId,request RequestPageDiaply, PrinterSet set, Record) Report ID: Here you have to specify the ID of report which you want to run. Request Page Display: (Default Value Is TRUE), it will ask like Are you want to display report request page or not if you want to display the “TRUE” otherwise “FALSE”. Printer Set: (Default value is False) make true to use the printer defined as the system printer. Record: It contains table record which we have to pass to report.

For Display the image or logo in report follow below steps. 1. Create new report and give its proper name and number and save it. 2. Add data item to it. Here we take company table because in company table these are picture column in which company logo is already store. 3. Now add three column company name, city name and picture. As shown in image. 4. Save the work and got to Views =>> Layout. 5. Now drag and drop the image control on the report  header and set its properties as below. Select the image source : Database Use this field: Convert.ToBase64String(First(Fields!Picture_CompanyInformation.Value,        "DataSet_Result")) Use this MIME type: Image/jpeg 6. Now we add some other field to report header like company name, company city and report        name as show in below image. 7. Now save the work and run the report from the File => Run menu. And shows the output.

For update the values in any table we have “MODIFY” function in Navision as show below example. Here we first create the vender as global variable then apply GET method on it and then we update what’re we want here we update the city name of vendor and then  finally apply the modify function on it. Vendor.GET('20000'); Vendor.City:='Ahmedabad'; Vendor.MODIFY;

For getting current logged in user ID we have “USERID” function in Navision as show below example.           MESSAGE(USERID);

For enable /Disable the check box from the CAL code or dynamical base on some trigger action you cannot do directly fieldname.Properties so you have to do below syntax. -Make global variable give name ‘CheckboxEnable’ as Boolean -Go to On Open Page trigger and assign value to the variable  CheckboxEnable:=TRUE; -Go to you page design and select checkbox and open its properties  -Find the properties name ‘Enabled’ and assign its values CheckboxEnable -Now go to you CAL code windows and use CheckboxEnable variable for make enable or disable the  check box if you write CheckboxEnable:=FALSE; it will make check box disable.

TESTFIELD is one type of validation function. This function is generally used to validate any filed value. Syntax: Record.TESTFIELD(Field,[Value]); Here if you pass value =”” then it make validation like don’t allow to left field to be blank, user have to write something to this field.

SETFILTER function is same as SETRANGE function in NAV, only difference is in SETFILTER function you have to specify the expression condition as show blow Example: Customer.SETFILTER(‘No.’,’>1000&<2000’) Here above example return the customer witch has number is greater than 1000 and less than 2000
